DIY airplane.

Many of the DIY projects as we all know are small projects, but there are big guys doing big DIY projects too.
And this story goes about a DIY airplane build in small new country in Europe known as Kosovo.
A 29 years old guy called Hakif Pervetica from a small town of Podujeva, got himself into building a small airplane. This project which took him about 3 months to complete didn't required any of professional skills, actually Hakif had no professional knowledge about airplanes, but he was always amused by airplanes.

Having in mind he was a poor guy who couldn't afford buying an airplane, he started watching dozens of movies with airplanes, and started to make the skeleton of his own plane.
Plane is constructed mainly from metal parts some of them taken from old cars, and it weights about 300 Kg (about 661 lbs) , long about 4.5 meters and should reach the speed of about 200 km/h (about 124.3 mile/h) and has only one sit for driver.
The engine that this plane uses is Ford engine (which i think is taken from Car) and the wings are controlled by a special buttons mounted in the control panel.

The only sad thing is that the plane never got away from the ground, it was not tested to fly yet, but it will be tested very soon and see if it can really fly.

Below is the video taken from an National Television of Kosovo but it is in local language.
